Description
Tūī are native to New Zealand and belong to the honeyeater family, which means they feed mainly on nectar from flowers of native plants. They are associated with life fulfilment, confidence and spiritual harmony and are regarded by Maori as powerfully significant in their role as messengers to the gods.We have carved this beautiful bird into macrocarpa and the inlay is blue, green, and brown with white glass used for the distinctive white tuft at it's throat.
